Using two Major Triads, Bb & D we discover 5 methods to add harmonic flavour between chords and make the journey a lot more interesting. We cover musical cadences, secondary dominants and passing chords using jazz movements. And the Circle of Fifths is at the forefront of figuring this all out as it will give us and easy way to remember the transition chords with respect to the existing ones

After 60 years of guitar playing I started piano 2.5 years ago. I quickly picked up the basics. Then in another video you showed how to use secondary 5th like in this one. However in that video you stressed using the secondary fifth in the inversion starting from a semitone below the root of the following chord. That trick immediately added a pro touch to my improvisations. Thanks.

Wouldn’t the plagal chord precede the target chord?

Isnt Bb to Eb and D to G authentic cadence, 16:59

Definitely what you pointed out is correct, usually Plagal is from 4 - 1 but here we are just getting the 4 as a passing chord.
