Step by step how-to teaching you to make a small brushless DC motor with minimal tools and materials. Once you understand this you can make better versions, experiment with different windings and wiring patterns, etc. I plan to make much bigger motors...

No problem, I was just confused on what you have hooked up to the ESC other than the 12 V battery and the motor. The small device to the right that has a light on it, What is that?

is it possible to make a 22v battery for this then invert the voltage to 110 and power the motor without any problems?

best vid i've ever viewed! thorough and concise without wasting any time. i wish the englanders would quit all the gabbing and do as you do. bought a small peanut butter jar and have just now consumed the inards to start on this project. would more wrappings produce more power or rpm or both.
@JaycubL
@JaycubL 8 жыл бұрын
More windings would improve torque but reduce max RPM, and would also reduce max power slightly (by increasing resistance and reducing the amount of heat that can escape).

You have used ridiculously ordinary materials and techniques to accomplish a most difficult undertaking. Congratulations totally deserved. I wish you the very best, Sir.

A quick tip: Fillets on the screws are sharp, the motor would be much more reliable if you put some masking tape on the screws before the winding, so that vibrations doesn't scrape off the lacquer from the wire, and doesn't makes shorts...
