Just about to make my first mesh wreath,got mesh from the dollar tree. Is it me or not?? cut my new rotary cutter& scissors,it frayed really bad hard to roll or make ruffle,mesh is terrible. Ready to give up😫 need some advice please.

Hello Diane! It’s not you. Dollar Tree mesh is very bad quality and no matter how you cut it, it will fray like crazy. I always tell my followers to try and buy mesh online like at Craft Outlet or Trendy Tree. Dollar Tree mesh is 5 yards per roll. Craft Outlet mesh is 10 yards and costs $3.95 for the regular deco mesh so you’re only saving $2 but you will have great quality mesh. Don’t give up and just do the best you can with what you have. The less you handle it the less it frays and you can always trim it at the end. In the future I would recommend buying online for a few dollars more. I hope this helps you and remember it’s your first wreath and at the very least you can get practice out of it. I’m here if you have any questions. Thank you, Lori.

This is super super cute:) I love the red hat I have never seen a red hat:) You make it look sooooo easy. Where is your craft fair and can I ask what would you charge for that? Oh yes what is that gadget that you’re using....a pick??? Can you show a close up and explain what it does? I finally made my first wreath using deco and I surprised myself I kinda like it. I’m going to stick with my home decor and card making / scrapbooking:) I love watching you as you are very talented:) Happy birthday to your son:)

Hello Barbara! You are so sweet and I’m happy you enjoyed this project. I don’t know exactly how much I would charge and need to add up my supplies. My craft fair will be in Columbia, SC. And the Pick Machine just adds a metal pick to the florals so its easier to get it into the foam. Congratulations on making your first wreath and I’m sure it was beautiful.
