This Christmas tree cake is fluffy, moist and has ALL the holiday spices you could ever desire. I wrapped it in the smoothest buttercream ever and added a whimsical red and white swirl inside. I spiced the red buttercream but you could add spices to the other batches too! It's actually a richly spiced gingerbread cake but if you'd like chocolate instead try my chocolate cake recipe!!!!

Painting the tree on was so much easier than I thought it would be. Just practice a bit on a plate first to build your confidence up!

Honestly, you should be selling your own baking strips. I've never heard of them before watching your videos and they seem to be a hidden secret for bakers.

They're made by Wilton. I use them but if you have a large pan, the strips start to dry out and melt/burn. I still have a bit of cake to trim. Overall, they kind of work (for me anyway).

I’ve used the Wilton brand and I’ve made strips. Remember to soak the strips in water before pinning them around the cake pans. They work beautifully!

I only bake one thing and it is my Grandma's recipe for maple cinnamon rolls (which are great!), but your videos make me so happy. It makes me want to invest into all of your fancy gadgets and bake!
