Basically, they have a plastic coating on the inside to keep the acid from corroding the aluminum. That way, you don't get a bunch of corroded metal particles in your drink, (which would be extremely bad for you).

@@tiggerperez8524 depends on if the can has the plastic or not, which I'm not sure on that one. EDIT: Pineapple acid (citric acid) isn't as strong as the soda (phosphoric acid). My answer with the plastic was pretty dumb, lol

yes, if you use the correct acid not water as people probably assumed from the video (i’m pretty sure it’s sodium hydroxide but i’m not 100% sure so make sure you research stuff about it if you’re interested in trying lol)
