I agree with some comments here. the thinner the consistency the better, less bubbles, faster pouring. try adding more water for a more liquid consistency. you'll see you won't have to tap it as much

Thanks for your comment. I always say do what’s best for you. My way isn’t the only way of doing things. I’ve found more success having a thicker consistency 👍🏻 The charcoal color also is always a little thicker for me. But typically it’s a little less thick for other colors. Enjoy your day! 😀🙏🏻

Thanks for the explanation! Much appreciated 😌 Do you think any cement will do? Or which characteristics the cement should have?;I couldn't find a supplier for cementall in the Netherlands

I don’t think any will do. The reason I say that, is because there are a lot of rocks and stuff in other cement. Cement all has a smoother white finish once dry, as well. It also cures a lot quicker than others. Cement all is used a lot for DIY projects. I’ve heard it’s been an issue to find outside of the states. I’m not sure what is available. I have see people switch to jesmonite. That might be an option instead for you. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I also make my concrete jars, but I add a little more water, and I noticed there're fewer bubbles... sometimes 1 or none. It's very time-consuming, though. 😅

Yes for sure. I find that the thicker, the more time consuming it is. But definitely worth it with the finished product! 🙂

Just air dry. 🤍 I wait a few days, seal, then wait a few more days and pour candles.

I keep having air bubbles in the bottoms that I just can’t seem to get rid of (using a dental appliance to vibrate) but I feel like I use significantly more water. I’m gonna try your way with a thicker mixture. Thanks for the video

I haven’t used it for anything drink or food related. I would highly recommend looking into and researching all you can for safety purposes. Good luck! 👍🏻

How do you remove white cast from cement.. efflorescence

I haven’t had that be a problem. But, I know if you don’t use a filtered water, that could be a cause. Not sure what your circumstances are. But, I’m sure there are resources out there to further help you!

Is the pigment iron oxide?

So if you go on a color on the direct colors website each will have data sheets in a pdf drop down on the bottom , you will see what is and what isn’t iron oxide. I've seen people stating that more water equals less bubbles, but I've heard more water can result in the concrete cracking. Do you ever have issues with cracking?

Hello! I’ve seen the opposite actually. More water I’ve used, the more bubbles. I haven’t experienced cracking before. But I have heard the same thing. More water leads to cracking. I guess I’ll just trust that lol 😊

Does it need to be distilled water?

It depends on where you are located. I have really hard water, where I am, so I use my RO system. You can buy distilled water, too. I tried faucet, and it created a lot of water spots on my vessels. I would try your faucet water and test it out. It might work out for you
