Yeah!!!😂 I was looking at what I was going to do with the bed making when I decided on the nuCamp TAB 400. My headache will be that on the 2023 model it doesn’t seem like it is even a standard size . 🤦‍♀️ You obviously have the bed making duties because it seems that you have this in the bag!

Loved seeing a man make the bed! What a novel idea! A duvet cover replaces the need for a top sheet and is so easy to put on and take off of your comforter. Happy camping!

Actually I make the bed in our camper most of the time. Patty has a bad leg which makes it very difficult for her to make.

HILARIOUS!!! I just found this! I have to do the same thing and I commend you on not ONE swear word! Oh my. You don’t need to hear me making my bed and I have a plastic leg!!! Sometimes I just put the two top corners over my head and just throw myself on the bed! I then pray to the Universe that when I wake up the “bed angels” have been in and have sorted it!!! What a blast!!😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Very informative! Kind of funny too 😆. I hate making up the T@B 400 bed but I've found waterbed sheets to be the easiest for me and having the air conditioner turned down really low. Wish my husband would make up my bed!

you were a-lot more graceful than I would have been! Great job! Have not tried this but did see this on a forum - is to sew bottom pockets on the top sheet and comforter. Have a great weekend.

A pocket on the bottoms might work out well. A half fitted/half flat sheet is what someone needs to design.

A walk around bed is nice unfortunately I don't think I have ever seen one in a sub 20' trailer. We decided an 18' trailer was more important than the bed for what we wanted to use the trailer for. However, I won't lie, when it's time to make the bed, I miss our 35' 5th wheel! LOL

I have seen some trailers with Murphy beds that you can walk around.

Yes...we had looked at some trailers in the 21'-23' range that had either dedicated walk around beds or had the murphy bed. We just could find something in the 16'-18' range with that.

I was wondering how you liked your info Infomia memory foam mattress that you replaced the cushions with in your Tab. I saw the video where you featured it, but now can’t find it. I would like to use your link if I purchase one. I just got a 202q Tab boondock and would like to add some kind of topper on the cushions so I don’t feel the separation.

You had some very good take away tips for this difficult task in this video (i.e. deep pocket full sheets, folding the sheet in half lengthwise etc.) It is not my favorite job for sure. The first time I made the bed in our 400 my husband was taking pix (to blackmail me later LOL, I'm sure of it) and we were both laughing so hard. I know I looked completely ridiculous and was exhausted afterwards. Your demo was so graceful and gives me hope that I can get better at this chore. Question: Are there AC vents along the outside of the RV, between the outside wall and the mattress? I was hesitant to tuck too much in-between for fear I was blocking air flow. What do you think?
@TravelswithDelaney
@TravelswithDelaney 6 жыл бұрын
There's just the one AC vent in the bedroom area up above the bed on the closet wall in ours. Ant the Alde heat openings are on the floor under the bed so you are fine.

Thank you for going through the effort. Deep pockets, good tip. But the big take away is folding lengthways and working on the far side first. I seem to have a habit of bouncing on my knees trying to get the top sheet and/or comforter in the right place. Very helpful. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for watching. We love our Tab 400 and hopefully you will love yours too. Don't laugh but both the comforter and the sheets came from Ollie's Discount Outlet. Do you have one near you? They actually carry some good brands at great prices. I can't remember what the brand of the comforter was...nothing fancy but we just liked the print. The sheets were Daisy Fuentes brand.

@jimlinmcc
@jimlinmcc 6 жыл бұрын
Are you still using your mattress foam topper that you had in your previous trailer? A while back you mentioned you had one on the other trailer and so moved it to the 400. We picked up a mattress topper which is only about 3" but i am thinking of removing it so Jim has more room since he is up against the slanted wall by the window. Love the idea of sewing pocket corners on the flat sheet and comforter.
@TravelswithDelaney
@TravelswithDelaney 6 жыл бұрын
We are still using that memory foam topper that we had in the Hummingbird. It does take away just a bit of space on the inside wall but I am ok with that because it makes the bed just that much more comfortable. Although we haven't tried it without so maybe we should sometime just to see.
@dorisshanks7295

I like your system. The only thing I would suggest is when you start tucking the back side of the folded sheet in, you first fold the top half back onto itself do that you then only have the one layer to tuck in. Then unfold the rest of the sheet to the front side. Maybe you are not tucking in both layers but the edge of the top is there in your way as you try to tuck in only the bottom layer. Just my observation. Lol ! My problem is I cannot crawl on any bed as I cannot put weight on my knees even for 5 seconds. Corner beds are a no go for me and I also cannot access the overhead cabinets on most corner beds. Otherwise I love the Tab 400 and do watch all your videos.
@jimlinmcc
@jimlinmcc 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, i am thinking of pulling it out and leaving the mattress pad on. Try sleeping without and if it is as comfy as our other T@B, leave the foam topper on our guest bed in the house.😊 We have a standard poodle who loves to stretch out between us at night and that extra bit of space would be welcomed. The only reason i don't wind up on floor each night is thanks to the wall with the cubby hole...it holds me in.😆

I feel the pain since half of my RV bed is surrounded by walls. I make it similar to your method and just go slow and steady. I use deep pocket sheets but I also have about 6 - 8 inches of toppers on my uncomfortable mattress. Good tips and thumbs up, Lou
@TravelswithDelaney
@TravelswithDelaney 6 жыл бұрын
We had an 8" memory foam mattress in the Hummingbird and that was much more difficult because it was harder to pull up the corners. This is much easier with the thinner cushions and then the 3" foam topper.
