Thank you for explaining things in an easy to understand way and showing the differences when you turn stuff off and on!! Super helpful for a noob like me.

For anyone making the patch along with the video, pause at 7:56 and copy those 3 matrix effect things he turns on to make it bend the pitch!! Drag the LFO 1 box to the Macro 1 knob, and you will see a "Lfo 1" source show up, then copy the values he has filled in.

@@chadlategan2808 Lol, im late to the party. I have been stuck on massive and FL while my friends are all trying to get me into Ableton and Serum.. Guess this is why they're progressing faster :P

@@toddharig8142 I was working with those two synths as well up until just a few months ago. I went ahead and got serum and use the free version of vital and saw a big improvement in my production. Highly recommend!

I'm really new to music theory and I don't understand what key this is in. I was under the impression the chords in each key only consist of the notes in that key but now I'm just confused. Or is it the base note of the chord that matter but the actual chord can be major or minor or whatever? someone please help

When the chords in a chord progression only contain the notes of the key the track is in (for example, all the white keys in a C major progression) it is called a diatonic progression. In the case of this video, the chord progression is considered non-diatonic because the notes of multiple keys are being used to create the chords, giving the progression this creepy/unfamiliar flavour. I hope this helped :)

You're correct! (with a caveat) In a chord progression, it's possible to substitute out chords for a chord with the same root-note from another key, and still get something sounding consonant. The idea is called a "borrowed chord", and you can experiment around to see which ones might sound good.
