Thank you soo much for this tutorial I made my own disco ball and I found the paper at Walmart Supercenter it wasn't carnival mirror but it's the kind that you can make projects with it looks just like carnival mirror but with little designs in it I love it and I also bought the foam ball at Walmart supercenter very fun to make it took me 3-4 days to make :).

Looks really cool. I want to have about 20 different sized disco balls hanging around my vanity, this tutorial works perfectly. Now I'll be able to do it. Thank you.

@x3mytiz a sphere has infinite exact middle, you have just to find a line that passes for the entire circumference of the ball and glue thè tiny mirrors on it, glue one mirror wherever you want and start sticking one mirror at a time just next to it till you're back to the first mirror of the line, did I explain well? :)

Any tips for working with the glue to attach the squares? For cleaning off the surface afterward? What glue did you use? Was the mirror adhesive backed? Where did you get the mirror? Link to a source? I see Mardi Gras applications. Hmmmm

@craftzine My sister bought one a few years back and it cost her £37 and was dam heavy so heavy that when it came loose from its bracket it cracked the tile flooring lol And they can go for upto £3.000

I am sorry, i don't really know what is the ball made from, i have searched googles for floral foam but its for watering flowers not the kind like you have. One more thing, how could you shape the foam into a ball. Did you ordered already round or you need to shape foam for it to become round???

I'm thinking about doing this on a smaller scale as a kids' craft. Does the carnival mirror have sharp enough edges to cut fingers easily? Also, smooth polystyrene balls are cheaper & I need a lot. Can you think of a reason why they wouldn't work?
