You could pick up a shirt at Goodwill. Or use one that is old and worn and not being used.

👎Really bad instructions. There's no way you're cutting this straight with a pair of scissors. Don't waste a shirt on this bad instructional video. Go with another tutorial. Use a rotary cutter and mat. This one mangled my shirt before I sought advice from someone who knows how to do it.
