How to make a Double Decker Z Fold Card

I learned how to make this fun fold card from Patty Bennett. It's an easy card to make and they stand up so nicely. Change up the patterned paper and sentiments and you can make these for any occasion. I made the Mother's Day Card using the Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper and Perennial Postage Stamp Set. The Thank You Card was created using the Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper and Irresistible Blooms Bundle.

I am so glad you talked about the ridge of glue. Whenever I asked for help on how to get rid of that or not have it happen the crafters on KZfaq said oh it never happens to me. Thanks for the problem and the solution is to use the seal adhesive. Kathy

Hi Kathy, yes, that has always bothered me so I've been using Stampin' Seal just on the inside layer. Someone recently told me to just put a dot of glue in each corner so I've started to do that and it works well.

Lovely card! I’m left handed, too…and I’ve never heard anyone else talk about our « problem » of writing on some of the funfold cards. I sometimes write a nice, generic message before I adhere the message part and hope that it will work when I send the card! It’s truly « a thing » for us!
