Although this method does work to an extent, I suggest adding a taper down the length of it *if you want to be quick and easy and use flat braid, just flat braid like, 6, drop one to 5, drop one to 4, so on* But if you want a good whip, I suggest you look into round braiding around a core, with at least 4 plaits and 1 under belly, though I would recommend 3 under bellies and 12 plaits.

What I did was put the tape ends of my counter and putting the other end in a drill and raveling then into cording the ran flower over the outside to make it not sticky and braided it then at the end be for the final couple braids I put a piece of gutted and frayed paracord in-between the braids and finished the braid then put tape around the ends then took a huge double sided maker and used the tape from the counter and put in on the market and wrapped it in more duct tape and it works grate it's 8 foot and I work cattle and it was workin just fine for that

@darKcherub89 shop around ebay for some paracord. my roommates and i ended up just splitting the cost for 1000 feet of it. it was 50 bucks for the spool and we all made 16 foot bull whips and a 3 foot snake whip each. just watch youtube vids of how to plait. you'll get the hang of it. or buy a cheap book off amazon. we bought one that was like 12 bucks on amazon and just used the method the book taught to make snakes whips to make our bullwhips. they're perfect for our use on the cattle ranch

ok people who say this is hard its not i did it with 2 strips of duct tape braided it the wrapped more duct tape a round it. that way makes it a little more durable
