This is how I make beautiful snippet rolls to embellish journal pages, using bits of fabric, lace, beads and buttons.

Thank you for this, I have been struggling to do snippet rolls. I want to do it so much. I don't think my brain can handle it lol...but doing it as a whole piece and then breaking it down. Now that I just might be able to do it. Thank you xx

Thanks Maria, yeah sorry about the off camera bit, I have vision issues and can't see the needle very clearly, so I cut that bit short. I love your idea of using a snippet roll to widen a dress, that is brilliant! 💗💗

Lovely, I hope I can use my sewing machine again this year but we'll see... Love those mini embellishments on the tiny bits of fabric... So cute. Noticed a bit of my broderie anglais their too 😁😁💖

Love this way of doing the snippit roll. One large fabric collage and then cutting into strips. Your embellishments are gorgeous. The possibilities are endless. I miss your blogs where we got to see your beautiful face! I'm excited to hear you're getting more into junk journaling. Would love a video for junk journaling the "Kari way".

Thanks very much Judy, I am addicted to making snippet rolls at the moment, I just can't stop, the best bit is adding the final embellishments. You are so kind about the vlogs, I shall do some more soon - oddly, they take a long time to put together, I do enjoy them though. Yes, junk journaling is certainly pulling me in, I like to combine both art journaling and junk journaling and I will indeed video my way soon, thanks for the encouragement Judy! 💗💗

Great fabric collage strips. Don’t know if you have any rotary cutter for they do have a few decorative blades, which would give you some interesting edges, plus some decorative sewing threads would be another way in which to add color, texture and design too.

Thanks Linda, I don't have a rotary cutter, but it is on the list and I shall certainly look out for those decorative blades, I didn't know they existed. I do have some fancy threads and I will give them a go, plus I want to do a little hand-embroidery too. 💗💗

Perfect timing! Am heading downstairs to look through my batik fabrics to mend some shirts Boro style. So I can have another pile for snippet rolls. I think I’ll do a Pandemic snippet roll using the scraps from all the frantic mask making in 2020. Thought about an EPP pandemic nap quilt but I’m going to have to extend my life another 20 years to come close to my goals. And you are over 8K subscribers! Hurray! Congratulations 🍾

Such a lovely snippet roll! Great timing for me, too. I’ve been thinking lately that I haven’t made any in a while, and I’d like to make some soon. Thanks Suzie - oh do you mean the bulb pins that I dangle charms on or the clips that I use to hold things together before sewing? They are called wonder clips and are really useful, I bought mine from Amazon! 💗

Hi Rhoda! It can be used as a bookmark, but I like to use is as a binding for books or for little clusters on pages to decorate them, even for pockets too. I hope that helps! 😊💗
