Hi everyone,
I made this fishing rod hanger out of a few Sepele cut off‘s that have been hanging around the shop. This hanger will only hold one rod but you could easily make a few of them or Make additional brackets and attach them to two backboards And attach them to the wall vertically instead of horizontally.

Turn on, tune in...that works. Yeah, that is an easy, cool scrap project. Nice results.

That was a very easy and effective rod holder build Jon! I own way to many rod/reel combos. So, I hang them all from the ceiling in my garage where they are out of the way and still easy to get to. 👍👍😉😉

Add the soft fuzzy part of Velcro to the area where the rod touches the wood.

Hey, Jon. Looks awesome. Simple question maybe about preference. Did you consider fastening the holding pegs from the back to not expose the pocket holes? Just curious. Definitely making on of these. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks! , though about it but I like the screw going into the long grain instead of the end grain. Also you really don’t see the screws because they are at the top of the hanger.

I think glue and pilot into end grain would be plenty strong enough for a rod. I take your point about not seeing the pockets though when it's above eye level.
