I learned quite a few tricks and now consider my tips good as well. Thanks so much. I taught myself to quilt via books and was amazed when son-in-law mentioned videos! 🎉 So i like to watch videos. I have been sewing since i was 7 and now i am much older, lets just say slightly shy of 70. I like to keep learning but don't live close to other quilters so videos keep me company and abreast of something new . Enjoy the company as well❤. Thanks 🎉

"Quick and Easy" was on my Christmas list and I learned FS for guild charity projects years ago. Glad to learn another way to do assembly for March charity meetings. This was so helpful, especially seeing video instructions of the economy binding! One thing I noticed I do the same as Fran; when I use the silicone finger tips, I almost always end up holding my pointer finger away from the iron and use another (unprotected) finger! 🤔😑😂

I made this for our grand daughter when she turned four, she's now 10, and I didn't have someone to qyilt it on a long arm machine, so I did quilt in the ditch, swirls around the star legs and just diagonally in the larger squares. It turned out very nice.

What an excellent tutorial, Fran!! I'm hoping you will cover Big Stitch quilting in your future video on alternative quilting options. Just an idea...would you all be willing to provide a line drawing of your patterns so we could experiment with color selections? This video was super informative, I like the baggy and labeling techniques, since you press seams open what is your stitch length. I have several of your books as I make charity quilts and wanted something that looks great but doesn’t take a ton of time as I am eighty and don’t feel I have much time left to quilt for others.

Love watching this video. Ty so much! Curious about one thing. I have never opened up my seams to iron. Seems it would be way less bulk. But does it expose the threads causing them to be weak? Ty in advance.
