What you will need:
A saw - a chop saw works best
A pen or pencil
A tape measure
Safety glasses
Wood stain
A sanding block or belt sander.
5 to 6 - 2x3's 8 feet in length
According to Wiki :Jenga is a game of physical and mental skill created by Leslie Scott, and currently marketed by Parker Brothers, a division of Hasbro. During the game, players take turns removing one block at a time from a tower constructed of 54 blocks. Each block removed is then balanced on top of the tower, creating a progressively taller but less stable structure.
The name jJnga is derived from a Swahili word meaning "to build.

Great video and channel. My channel is a little like yours. I started with the idea of a diy channel and then it evolved into funny humorous cooking videos of me cooking on the sidewalk🤣. I was contemplating creating a second channel for my cooking videos but you have a little of everything on your channel which I love and the channel appears to be very successful . I think I’m going to continue with my DIY channel and just roll with what youtube gives me. Thank you for the video and have a blessed day😎✌️

Cool idea! One way to save time might be to sand the boards before cutting them up into smaller pieces so you could take much longer strokes with the sanding block or sander

Definitely a much more efficient way. I use a belt sander when making these but always run the orbital sander over the 2x4s before cutting them.

Awesome. Will have to build my own. Might go so far as to plane them and mic them out. Lol I would reccomend using the same block every time when you're cutting the pieces. This helps maintain your 'zero' better if that makes sense.

Good video. I make both sizes 10.5 and 7.5. The 7.5 is great for table tops. Also a better choice if you have kids running around. A little time spend setting a stop would have saved a lot of time. I found your lazy comment a bit intentionally or unintentionally ironic. Again great video.

Jaxx, I like the 2x3 vs the 2x4. Three questions: what did you stain it with? I was reading another feed that said something about wax? Did you make a box for it, to carry? Last question....after you play it a few times, what would you do different? Oh, LOVE the video..Thanks
@JaxxDrinkwater
@JaxxDrinkwater 7 жыл бұрын
I just stained it with regular wood stain (honey color) I didn't make a box. I just picked up a milk style crate from Walmart to store it in. If I were to make it again, I would invest in some type of bench sander.

Hardwoods would be best bet, yes. If you use a soft wood, they'll get all dinged up when it falls and then the tower will sit funny.

This is a great party idea! How heavy is the finished product? At a large party, gotta be concerned about them falling and hurting someone, especially kids. Awesome video. Thank you! You hate oatmeal? Try it southern style, with evaporated milk, butter, & brown sugar. Dee-licious!
@JaxxDrinkwater
@JaxxDrinkwater 4 жыл бұрын
Not sure how heavy it is, but it's heavy. I haven't had a kid hurt though while playing it. You know kids, they really like to see it fall. I wouldn't let a three year old play this, but it's pretty safe for kids. I've found my oatmeal special place - savory. I don't like sweet oatmeals at all, so my wife makes it savory risotto style or with sriracha and bacon.

@jasminemarie7044
@jasminemarie7044 7 жыл бұрын
It is possible to make it out of 2x4's but your length measurements will change. Your cuts should be at 10 1/2 inches. He gave his measurements for what he used which were 2x3 's
@JaxxDrinkwater
@JaxxDrinkwater 7 жыл бұрын
Chachi is correct you need to cut your 2x4's at 10 1/2 inches. 2x4's aren't truly 2x4's they are roughly 3 1/2 inches in width so 3 1/2 x 3 would be = to 10 1/2 ....
