How to make a Golf Hole for $20 / Sam Zurzolo's Golf Hole Maker
So I was in Adelaide ordering my golf flagpole and cup and cup from Drummond Golf at Enfield and we talked about some of the golf hole makers on the market which were about $350 which do an excellent job.
However my golf hole in my back yard is just for a bit of fun and a $350+ item to make 1 hole was a step to much for the finance minister considering we are doing it just for a bit of fun.
I was chatting to Sam Zurzolo and my other sponsored guys on our messenger chat (as we always are - greatest chat group in the history of messenger chats IMO) and Sam posted us his golf hole maker which cost him a shade under $20. I was at Bunnings at the time so the basic parts I purchased were..
1. PVC Pipe 100mm Slab Adaptor

2. 25mm Replacement Rake Handle
www.bunnings.com.au/1500-x-25...
I cut 2 x 25mm holes at the top of the lip for the handle to go through. These holes were filed a bit and I also filed the end, to make it a bit sharper and cut into the ground a bit easier.
With a bit of downwards pressure and twisting at the same time the cut was rather easy. The plug of lawn come out really easily and although I don't show it in the video - you can return the plug into the ground if you just want to have a temporary hole.
Anyway thanks to Sam Zurzolo for the idea. You can see him on instagram as lawnstagram.
www.drummondgolf.com.au supplied the great quality David Golf cup and FlagPole. I paid $130 for the set up and $20 for delivery. Thanks Glenn!!
