use standard quick set concrete mix from lowes or honme depot with low aggregate and yes you can add names etc if you use concrete stamps which can be purchased at craft stores Hobby Lobby and Michaels near the stepping stone kits, about $7 a set of letters and numbers basically play with the mixture of quick set concrete and when its barely able to take an indention from your finger without making a crumble you are ready to stamp the words in (think cookie cutters) when I say stamps. as long as you find the sweet spot where the concrete is neither to wet where when you stamp it the indentation leeches or fills with water or to dry crumbly you should be fine. I had to just play around wiith small versions before I got the hand of it now I make replacement headstones for cemeteries for free for those who cannot afford granite or other headstones, usually a flat headstone costs me bout $5 to make and I can get 2-3 per bag of concrete
