Intended only for temporary use, not a permanent fix!
I showed how to do it on a glass cup so that you can see how the knots work.
How to make a kitten / cat harness with string.
This design has some flaws (really quite a few) so you might want to build off of this design rather than following it 100%. I have a video addressing that issue right here if you want to see it.

The knot he did on the neck should not be used is a Square Knot that could turn into a slip knot (A knot that tightens on what's it tie to) the second knot he did was Bowline Knot 🪢 Design not to slip but watch a video on Bowline Knot do on neck & chest but if your not good with knot would not recommend

Get a proper harness that rather creates pressure on the chest. The rope should not be around cat's neck like that.

@@Micochi16 the rope is made of soft cloth material and is stretchable. It's clearly visible that its harmless. Actual harness have the same design with hard cloth.

This is the best home made alternative I have seen so far. I copied the exact thing but with different material and it is perfect. No matter what the gossip is in the comments, don’t let it stop you enthusiasm!

You do have to be careful with the knot around the cat/kittens neck because it can slip, but just taking this as a base design should work out good. Thanks for your optimistic comment, and have a good day.

My boy has a umbilical hernia, which is basically a balloon on his belly. Its harmless but do you think this would work with it? I dont want it to fit oddly

This video needs to be taken down. Nobody should be doing this and there are people who will actually hurt their pets by trying, even if YOU haven’t heard anyone specifically, you’re teaching others how to.
