Hi there, I used only water, but someone purchased the bottle from me, so I would not be able to do that test now. Let us known should it work.😀

If I boiled water to make it potable in the back country, would it be safe to put that almost boiling water in the costrel without ruining it?

Is there a temperature the wax should be? I was just gonna get the bottle really warm and keep the wax below boiling point . Around 175 - 200 degrees

Beeswax has a fairly low boiling point, around 63 degrees celsius.

Hi there, Not familiar with it at all. I am using 100% bees wax simply because it is easily available here is SA and it seems to work great. Regards MPR
