That was great, but for people that do stopmotion with just an Ipad like me I try to be a lot more flexible with the frames per second. I try around 7 to 10 and sometimes even include videos to keep the fluidity. I feel as if sounds really matter when doing stopmotion to keep the viewer engaged in the video. Anyways, that video is REALLY HELPFUL for me. Thanks
@bblanimation
@bblanimation 6 жыл бұрын
That's a great point! Frame rate isn't everything - you can make just about any frame rate look good with the proper techniques. I'll be covering those over the next three weeks.

Thank you BLL for making a really well done video on how to start a brick film (even for complete beginners) My first KZfaq Video I made (5 years ago now 😅) was a Lego Star Wars Battle Movie in Stop-Motion. (You can watch my stop-motion animations and subscribe! 😉) All jokes aside, once I started setting it up and had the story planned out in my head I couldn’t stop animating, it was so fun I got it animated in like 2 summer days with the help of the AWESOME Lego Movie Maker app R.I.P. old friend, it’s off the app store now in 2020. Anyways BLL films thanks for this video, you are helping me get back into stop-motion which I love regardless of how much time it takes, because a finished story (especially with LEGOS) turned out the way you like it worth all the time and effort. Thanks.

I’d recommend moving up to 12 fps. This is typically the minimum FPS that animators and professionals work at, and it will make your animations a bit easier to follow. Plus, you’ll be future proof if you ever decide to work commissions, as 12 fps is compatible with most TV, commercial, and film projects.
