Having a good maquette can make or break your stone sculpture or whatever medium you are using. Here are some useful tips to improve your maquette.

I really look forward to your follow up videos because my school unfortunately lost its figurative sculpture lecturer (and I chose to focus on painting subjects anyway because there just wasn't physical time to do everything). Keep up the good work!

what is the average price one would charge to make a 16" maquette. a gunfighter, tench coat, hat, boots, etc. Just curious. Thanks

Depends a lot on the materials used but commissions start at $1,000 and go up from there. If it was done in polymer clay and baked to harden (so no need for mold) it would probably be around that $1,000 range.

Did you add a crayon to change the color? Like a crayola crayon?

I have done that in the past but I don't think I did that with this particular clay.
