Just one thought about safety, though: in your instructions you mention both helium and hydrogen as lifting gases. Of course, as we all know, hydrogen is volatile when it's mixed with air. I'm just wondering about the wisdom of mentioning hydrogen, since it would appear that it's impossible to remove all the air from the envelope (because of the internal frame), and therefore it's inevitable that the hydrogen would mix with air inside the envelope. Then it would only take a very small static spark to set the whole thing up in flames. It's up to you, but I think it might be an idea to include some warning or caution in the instructions.

Yes, it is about 7.5 cubic feet so about 212 grams of lift. If you are interested in useful lift, then this basically has none (maybe 5-6 grams), however if you don't include the triangular wood frame (because it really isn't necessary) then you could have an extra 40 grams of useful lift.

The balsa wood was 1/32 in strips, although to be honest the rigid frame didn't really provide any structural benefit. It could be left out and it would save a ton of weight.

Thank you for asking. For this airship I used the battery that came with the Micro Blimp power unit. The battery is a 3.7 volt 100mAh single cell lipo.
