I'm worried I won't have enough faux fur to make a full, undocked tail for my sheep, so this tutorial is going to be perfect, even if hopefully I'll never need it.

Make the pattern and you'll know if you have enough fabric or not

Given that the pattern looks flat you could always draw the pattern and measure the length and width to ensure you have enough
