I made it, I used a larger piece of paper, so it doesn't quite stick onto my finger, just grazes it. But, it is very cute, like a baby trying to grab your hand. I don't know why I went into so much detail, I just wanted to mention that I think its cute.

Try to do this with a bigger piece of paper first if you are having trouble with it. It won’t work when it’s big but it will be good practice when making the small one

Can you try with smaller or larger paper? Maybe your fingers are thick or thin and the trap doesn't work...

This can work with any paper size. Maybe ur paper wasn’t a perfect square. Try to fold ur paper in half diagonally and see if there’s an excess strip of paper. If there is trim it off. If there’s not then ur good to go.
