The Paper Plane is a modern Classic and an industry favourite created in 2008, it’s a carefully balanced sour featuring bourbon, Italian aperitivo, amaro and lemon juice in equal parts.
INGREDIENTS:
🥃 20ml Buffalo Trace Bourbon
🍷 20ml Select Aperitivo
🍾 Montenegro Amaro
🍋 1⁄2 Lemon, squeezed
✈️ Paper Aeroplane & Peg or Lemon Twist Garnish
EQUIPMENT:
-Jigger/Measure
-Bar Spoon
-Muddler
-Crushed Ice
METHOD:
1) Chill a martini glass or coupette in the freezer or by filling it with ice.
2) Using your jigger to measure, add your bourbon, Select Aperitivo and Montenegro Amaro to your Boston glass or shaker
3) Squeeze the juice of half a lemon Into the shaker
4) Fill your shaker with cubed ice and seal
5) Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds
6) Remove your glass from the freezer or empty it of ice
7) Double strain your cocktail into your chilled martini glass or coupette
8) Garnish with a mini paper plane pegged to the glass or a lemon twist
9) Serve and enjoy!
