Stumbled across this channel the other day...since then I've been addicted and watched every video you've put out. Learnt so much! Been shooting digital for a couple years, yet have always been drawn to the asthictic of film and never been totally happy with digital images. As George said in an earlier episode, he was always trying to make his digital images look like film, so then figured why not just shoot on film instead?.. Therefore, I've just bought my first film camera and some portra rolls. Can't wait to get going!! 🙌 Thanks for the inspiration and great work!

You forgot to mention the often astronomical costs involved in hiring a space to exhibit your work, if they even like it to begin with. A video giving tips and tricks on how to get around the hefty price tag and who to approach would be more welcome for working class non-pro togs like myself. That being said, well done!

Thomas A. Moore I think this can depend on location. Check your local council run facilities, as well as community run art spaces. Some may be more off the beaten track, but also may be available free. I am planning to do just that, and have managed to locate a couple of venues happy to display my work for a week gratis. Hunt around and think out of the box!

You can make your own frames too. Get a buddy that has a table saw. It's A LOT cheaper than buying them. I think I made about 5 frames for $25, the smallest being 14X14. Buying and cutting your own mat and museum glass is a lot cheaper too. Although, I was nervous of messing up museum glass, so I paid someone to cut my 40inch piece. Most important framing tip, NEVER put your print against the glass. Always use spacers or something in between if you don't like the look of mats.

Nice video. Honestly I can't understand how a video about photography and stuff can have a dislike... Like why?? 🤷🏻‍♂🤷🏻‍♂🤷🏻‍♂ Who hurt you hater person? How can a photography channel have dislikes???? Because this is not the first time I see this. I mean it has useful information, well explained and everything but there are random dislikes... Wtf

Did you write artist statement and some description about the photographs series or did you just display the photographs for the exhibition? I'm curious because I had a solo exhibition in Beijing and I did not do neither of that and ended up with people asking a lot of questions instead of reading about me & my work, which was actually nice (but also quite busy answering questions). Nice videos btw! (see my 35mm shots at vitaboy.format.com if interested). Cheers man!

Except I don't think your niece could use an 8X10 camera...BUT i know what you mean....what's shown in the video doesn't seem even like the "anti-photography/snapshot" stuff that's in the art world. To me it screams "Urban Outfitters Ad". I think if the images where spaced out more in the gallery it would help a lot. Looking thrown up on the wall doesn't help the "my 7 year old could do this" aesthetic much.
