Remember, you do not need alot to make a PL:) Sometimes we feel like we do and we can actually manage with what we have on hand -little trinkets and pieces of news paper, novels, paper lunch bags go along way too 🤗

I never knew what “pocket letters” were until I checked out your playlist. This is such a great ideal! I’m great at gift wrapping during the holidays and occassions! I made my first pocket letter and it is Valentines themed. It does not have the lovely character urs has! I’m going to have to do more to it:). Ur work is so amazing-just gorgeous. Really enjoyed this video. Beautiful pocket letter. What I'd love though is to hear you talk more. I'd like to know what you're thinking as you put each card together. Do you have a master plan. Do you assemble your supplies ahead of time and ensure you only use those items. How do you know it's time to stop ie how do you keep from over decorating a card and thereby head into tackyland. Do you have a clear color scheme. How do you keep harmony across the cards (your final package looks nicely blended in terms of color and design). As you may have guessed by now, these are all questions I struggle with and I'd like to see how you handle them.

I understand the purpose is to swap or send happy mail to someone to cheer them up. You also said the purpose is to send crafting supplies to someone. great questions Patricia! when I finish a pocket letter I mail them out to a crafty friend or I do a swap with another PL maker :) I keep all the ones I receive in a giant binder :)

Hi Linda!! Oh I am so glad you stumbled upon this video. What a fun craft to work on. The pockets are just measured to fit in the “card protector” pockets which I believe are 3.5” x 2.5”. I can verify the measurements for you :)

Be sure you tri-fold your pocket letter and tie it up nice and tight. I always wrap mine with a doille to prevent things from falling out. Be sure to use a very strong glue if you attach times to the outer plastic sleeve, the last thing you want happening is your PL arriving and all the pieces have fallen to the bottom of the envie. I believe I use a 6x8 envelope when I am not using little boxes to send out happy mail 💕 I hope this helps :)

Where did you learn to do the pocket letters? Do u give them as gifts? Display them? Or have a book you keep them in? I never heard of them till I saw the beautiful ones you do. It's very different. Where do you find your pockets?

Awww thank you!! 🤗 I send them out as happy mail and I keep all the ones I receive in a big binder 💕💕I purchase the pocket page protectors at our local dollar store they are made for hockey and collector cards :) Office supply stores and walmarts carry them aswell ✨

Can you please tell me what is the purpose of these pocket letters? Do you make them and send them thru the mail or do you scrapbook them? What is their purpose? They are beautiful I just don't understand what the recipient does with them and also how do you send them?

I'm sitting in my car watching this video because I've never heard of a pocket letter. They are beautifully done each one unique in their own way ... My question is WHAT DO YOU DO NEXT? How do you seperate them and write in/on them to give people. It's confusing to me because there are embellishments on the outside of the pockets and not the cards so .... Can someone please explain how it all works after they are designed? Unless I'm taking it LITERALLY thinking they are 'little letter/notes to give to people' and that's not the meaning. Thank you for helping me understand better ☺

Great question :) You decorate each pocket to your liking and than add little goodies in the back of each pocket :) Write one little letter about yourself and it gets mailed out to a pocket letter buddy usually in exchange for one 🤗

The Glue in the green and white container is called Tombow Multi Glue... :)
