I learned from Flower School Videos that spraying the interior of the pumpkin with PAM cooking spray prevents the pumpkin from rotting prematurely

This pumpkin looks amazing! Danielle, did you do something to prepare the inner surface of the pumpkin? My dinnertable may tell you a story about a rotting pumpkin on it´s surface, wich is not funny!

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about your pumpkin! I don't prep these specific types of pumpkins with anything. The thicker walled storage pumpkins hold alot better than your pumpkin pie/jack-o-lantern pumpkins. When the flowers fade - I compost the pumpkin.
