When you remove the mesh from the stretcher, then put it back on and re stretch it, do you ever have trouble after multiple times getting it straight? What I’m getting at is does it become warped? I was wondering if it is possible to make multi color prints. I mean if you press Htv it shrinks a little. So if I want to use multiple colors and want to place them next to each other do I have to make the design a little bigger or does it not matter. Have you ever done that with this type of screen? I could not find it in your list
@CorinneBlackstone
@CorinneBlackstone Жыл бұрын
You could yes There are a couple ways to do it depending on what works best for you. You can cover parts with painters tape that wont be the color you are using and do that for each color or if you are feeling brave you can place small spots of paint and use small squeegees to brush the paint over the places it goes.

Hello! Thank you for the video. I made a tee with the screen print, and the letters were larger, like your "DOG" word. I don't know if raking the ink over it 3-4 times just globs too much ink on the shirt or what, but it was very thick! The letters look almost chunky or wavy looking!! Any suggestions? Is it salvageable or should I just toss it and try again?

Too much ink was left behind. You need to make sure you are pressing pretty hard to remove excess ink

@@kathyrice1963 you can still use it. It’s just going to probably crack a little on the paint after a couple washes. It’s not trashed just a learning shirt :)

How do you store the screen once you take it out. Can it be rolled up to store or do you need to store it flat?.

I store mine in file folders in a little crate that hangs the folders. :)

You should be taping off on the inside of the screen so the paint doesn't go under the wood

Do you have to wash between every one? If I am using the same design again and again?
@CorinneBlackstone

Not between each one no. But you don’t want the paint to dry on the screen. It’s super hard to wash off once dry

Can you reuse the vinyl screen stencil or is it for a one time use?
@CorinneBlackstone
@CorinneBlackstone 3 ай бұрын
If you create a screen print stencil with regular permanent vinyl it canny be reused. Once you wash the screen the vinyl comes off. If you need to make multiple of the same design you have to do it all at once and not allow the ink to dry between screen prints

Can I let the paint completely dry before I take the stencil off? What would happen if I let it completely dry, so I won’t scratch your mess up the project?
@CorinneBlackstone

You will damage the screen and likely the shirt by letting it fully dry. You need to take it off before it dries

I don’t know if this has already been asked but I already put my stencil on my screen and everything. It’s all ready to go. Except, I used regular permanent vinyl instead of HTV and now I’m scared to print because I don’t know if I can wash and reuse the stencil if it’s not heat pressed. Has anyone tried washing a screen with permanent vinyl and did it fall apart or were you able to keep it together?

Only thing I hate about stencil vinyl or permanent vinyl is for me I keep getting bubbles so when I go to print, the ink gets under my vinyl and ruin the shirt. I want to try htv to see if ink gets under that as well and if I should just give up and try emulsion
