How To Make A Sheet Metal Rose!
Score points with your wife or girl friend with this project! this episode of BS with AJ I show you how to make a rose that will last forever out of scrap sheet metal. this is a really good valentines day present, birthday gift or just to get you out of the dog house lol. the tools you need to make this are:
Red(right) sheet metal snips - amzn.to/2A7a6Jy
green(left) sheet metal snips - amzn.to/2A7a6Jy
two pair of needle nose pliers - amzn.to/2zpJxeT
some scrap sheet metal at least 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" for each piece - amzn.to/2A49xQl
a bench vice would help but isn't required - amzn.to/2A74LSI
a bench grinder would help but isn't required - amzn.to/2hRBNv0
14 gauge galvanized all purpose wire - amzn.to/2zEdZ9l
a drill and a 9/64 drill bit - amzn.to/2Aanx97

That's really nice. I have an idea if you're still making these or for anyone reading this, try using barbed wire for the stem. It comes with thorns! lol. I just think that would look a bit better for the stem.

going to be trying this with some 22ga stainless, will definitely be a bit tougher to bend but I'm sure will look great following your instruction. great video!

stainless will look great! Ive made one from stainless and one from copper and they all have their unique quality's Let me know how it comes out

Have you ever thought about about giving it a little heat with a torch so it gets that amazing heat color that stainless gets?

That's a good idea, although this rose is made from galvanized metal. I could blue it using heat, but it wont look the same as a stainless. But it would be pretty neat to try! Thanks for the comment

Daammn..I been folding all my petals with my are hands using roofing tin...shit..no wonder my hands look tough as nails and scarred up....my roses are made of tin,....but my hands,..they're made of iron✔️‼️👍

28 gauge I believe, I always used scrap metal from my job

Never use aluminum in a bench grinder. It will get clogged and the wheel will blow apart in your face. I’ve seen it happen

I usually make these from scraps so it varys from rose to rose but usually between 28 and 24 gauge

this is 28 gauge galvanized sheet metal. you can use pretty much any kind of sheet metal you can find, just be sure the gauge number is 24 or above, otherwise it will be very difficult to bend to the shape you desire.
