When I try and boot it up by clicking install it disappears but then after then clicking ServerStart the same thing happened and the tab showed for half a second and then just left

When ever I click “server start” nothing happens, before that when I clicked install it seemed to go away very fast and when I clicked it t again afterwards it goes away in like a second and clicking server start still does nothing

Hey man, i have an issue where if i click the serverstart file it just opens then swiftly closes same with the other, at first the installation worked and then none worked. I also renamed after the serverstart file to run.bat

Hey I know it’s an old video but No matter how many times we try the server never loads in the world correctly it just spawns a normal Minecraft world. And the advancement book is broken. If you have any solutions I’m at a loss.

running a server will take up pc power since you have to load the world and players when it's running. performance will depend on how good your pc is.

I dont know if anyone can help, but I've followed this to the tea, and when I get to the bit where he clicks the server start batch file, it flicks up on screen for a second then disappears. Ive managed to capture what it says in that second and it says there an error and that I'm missing some files... any help?

Yo check out my java error tutorial and start from 50 seconds. Only change your startserver.bat exactly how I change my run.bat in the vid. :)

If it’s on the same network you don’t need to port forward and you can join using the hosting pc’s name. Right click your windows icon in the bottom left and select “system” to check your pc’s name.

So uh, I've been following this tutorial and everything, but during the ServerStart part, I ended up getting a message that said "Can't keep up! Did thr system time change, or is the server overloaded?", and that it's running behind by 3787ms and skipping 75 ticks. How bad is that and is there a way to fix it?

I followed the video all the way up until I had to click install in the unzipped file(or extracted file however you want to call it) and no command prompt came up that verified the server install. Is there a solution to this?

Everything worked bro super helpful but, my friend who can join keeps saying 'network is unreachable'. I can join and that works fine for me. I've tried updating his Java and reinstalling it. Does anyone have any solutions?

They just need your public ip after you’ve port forwarded. I explained this in the vid and mention the port forwarding tutorial is in the description. You can find your public ip on canyouseeme.org

Watch my java error tutorial and start from 50 seconds. In the tutorial I edit a file called “run.bat” but yours is the “startserver.bat”. Only change what I change in the video.

25565 is the port. Your ipv4 is used in router settings and your public ip is how people outside of your home network join the server.

It is only up if you have it running. Alternatively you can pay for a host and they can run the server 24/7 for you.

hello, i've been able to join my server a few times, but often it loads me in for just a second and kicks me out saying "timed out". i've tried alot of solutions and some worked temporarily but it's still happening and i've run out of ideas to fix it.

My friends are able to join just fine, i should also mention this is a skyfactory 3 server, not a skyfactory 4 server. i dont think it makes a large difference

I have done these exact steps about 3 times now and im getting the same issue: it seems like when i run the instal.bat file it's not installing everything.. for instance i dont get a eula file. Also when i go to run the serverstart.bat file it will open up the command but then immediately close out. Any helpful tips you might have would be great lol

I’d recommend having at least 16gb ram in your pc to host and play. If you have someone else host or pay for a host you’d only need 8 to play.

Make sure you launch skyfactory from curse, not the regular launcher. Also check for updates.
