I used to avoid silky fabrics myself. They move so easily, its the beauty and danger of them. Just give it a try all the same, even if you don't achieve the perfect outcome on first trial

Miss Wora I don’t always use silky fabrics but when I do I use a serging stitch on my machine (I have a brother project runway limited edition machine and I use stitch number 6). It keeps the seams together. I’ll first do a straight stitch then the serge stitch plus I always cut even more than my seam allowance since the fabric tends to tear sometimes (when I use it). But hemming it is so wonderful!! I don’t use a rolled hem foot I do it by hand but it’s just so calming and exhilarating when it comes out perfectly 🤣🤣🤣

Just also be careful when ironing (I’ve ruined a few projects cause the iron was too hot and it melted the fabric 😞

I love the tutorial. I soak my chiffon fabric more stable by soaking the fabric in sugar water then iron it after the fabric has dried

Hi there. You can reduce your overall pattern by one inch to give your fabric room to stretch. This dress is bias cut, which means it's cut 45 degrees from the normal vertical grainline.
