There's so many different ways to sing man. They way you get your voice to sound like The Weeknd is you kinda have to sing through your nose if that makes sense. So if he were to open his mouth more it will be harder to reach those higher pitched notes while being really soothing. Like Michael Jackson would sing with his gut. So he would always have his mouth wide open when he would do that because he would excerpt more power from his mouth. But the way The Weeknd sings is pretty peculiar, its almost like he's whispering, the Weeknd sings using his nose instead of his gut. Less power than MJ but a lil smoother if you ask me.
