Thanks so much Lisa! I would say the firmness depends on what you use to string the beads and the size of the beads. The sturdier the material (wire vs twine) the more firm. And the smaller the bead size the firmer. But mine did hang pretty nicely on the tree, especially when I used wire. 💗 Elizabeth
