Excellent and useful video, mate. I had a good time and loved that it was short and packed with info....Now I'm off to the drawing board and in search of materials...thanks for sharing!

This is great--is there a follow up video with cooking? On the edge of my seat. I like this design, seems very well thought out & safe.

Can you please advise where did you source the Fire Drum from and it’s specification. Thanks
@shabaj1004 жыл бұрын
Well I couldn't find the drum in Bunnings so I bought a 60 liter drum for $10. Now I am going to build it see how it goes. Well it fidnt go well that 60 litre drum was too small. So I bought a 200 lit drum s d finished it and it works perfect. Its much bigger.

The creator doesn't mention that a lot of pottery contains lead, which causes nerve damage. Before you build and use, you should ascertain whether or not there is any lead content.
@michaelmcleary85663 жыл бұрын
And how do we do that? I doubt the store staff would know!
@BBQTrader3 жыл бұрын
@@michaelmcleary8566 If you can't do it, and they can't do it, then you do what you think is best for you.

That looks like a plain terracotta pot without a glaze, so should be fine.
@BBQTrader3 жыл бұрын
@@peterlee9691 Thanks for the info; didn't know the problem was limited to glaze.

You’re perfectionist Though, you could have build better tundoor with the same brick layers you used for pottery instead. The back of brick could have been filled with simple natural dirt

The firebrick are dunked in water to prevent too much water from being drawn out of the mortar before it is cured. How hot does the bottom of the barrel, where you used a chemical construction adhesive, get?
@samb457711 ай бұрын
This is what I was thinking; no insulation on the bottom???

Indians season their tandoor before use by rubbing greens on the inside and a mixture of oil and yogurt. Then they gradually and slowly fire it.
