How to make a terrarium (Simple Terrascape in an Ikea jar)
In this video I have shown the detailed process of making a simple scaped terrarium using a 2 litre Ikea glass jar. A drainage layer was created using lava rocks which was topped with an activated carbon layer. The substrate layer was placed on top of this and a simple hardscape with a prominent focal point was created using Seiryu stones. Sheet moss, Micranthemum Monte Carlo, Selaginella Erythropus and mini Bolbitis Difformis plants were used to bring the scape to life. Additional pieces of tiny and smaller rocks were used to create a a pathway and add details in the foreground to give a very natural look to the terrascape. Finally the terrarium was misted and the lid placed on top to complete the build.
