@@simpleinverso8628 Yes it was very dangerous, just from the UV exposure itself. I was very careful to not turn them on when someone was even close to me. It was a challenge project for general purposes and never intended to be a permanent application. On a 2 mile stretch of road they lit up everything that would capture the UV light like it was day. I would never drive with them on and disconnected them the very next day. I did care and did not want a ticket either. Sometimes we do stupid things, and some times we learn. The ones who disregard other's safety are the fools. Have a good day, night and stay safe.

Shorter. Infrared has a lower wavelenght than Ultraviolet. Think of red-shifting. This is caused by the universe expanding at a rate that slows down light, which stretches it out. That surely doesn't make most stars blue, purple and green.

cheap LEDs emit some UV light so yea hes filtering out all the visible light and only blue and UV pass through. theres even a case with a floodlamp emitting harmful UVB light.

No, for removing bacteria you need a special uv type known as uvc. This turns it into uva (and maybe a little bit of uvb) wich isnt germocidal but can still cause sunburn/activate fluorecent.
