In this video I wanted to make a vinyl sewing project pouch.
I have fabric and projects all around my sewing room y'all. I decided to make something to be able to neatly put at least 2 projects in at a time. This little pouch was great idea for that because now I can just grab the bag and finish working on a project or put it away until I am ready to work on it again. I decided to make it with fabric from some of my favorite cartoons for fun.
Here are the measurements for this fun little project:
Cut outside and inside panel 11.5” X 15”
Fuse fleece to backs of both pieces
Cut 2 pieces of clear vinyl 5.5” X 11.5”
Cut 2 strips to go across the top of vinyl 2”X 11.5”
Cut 2 more 2”X 11.5” to go above the zipper
You will need 2 zippers longer than 12”
( you can do both vinyl pieces the same way. I added a strip to the bottom of one vinyl piece instead of the top. If you leave the raw ends of vinyl to the raw edges of main panel you don’t need to add a strip of fabric to the bottom.
To make the vinyl pockets look the same you can add one strip of fabric at the top of vinyl below the zipper and one above the zipper.
If you face the zippers towards each other it will be easier. Instead of having one zipper towards the middle and one on the end like it did)☺️
Lastly cut a strip a bias tape to go all around and add 4 snaps.
