Just an FYI - In order to get access to the starter templates you have to download a plugin. The link to the templates doesn't automatically show up when you activate Astra. Search for.... "Starter Templates - Elementor, Beaver Builder, Gutenberg & Brizy Templates" This has been great so far. Thank you for the lesson!

Dale - I have watched this twice and will probably watch again when I get stuck. You make it look so very easy and straight forward. And the results are very professional. Missing info: install Elementor and Starter template plugins. Many beginners will lose track at those points, I had to figure this out from other videos.

I used to see videos from KZfaqrs who are in the United States, those in Asia and others, who explain how to create a website. But you are friendlier, and you give us advice and techniques that have long durations, that is to say that do not expire, compared to other KZfaqrs. Thanks so much Dale

I have been looking for a tutorial that would teach me how to make my own website for my self protection school. I tried following every popular channel on KZfaq and always had questions. This guy covered everything that is important in Elementor in ONE video! I am glad I hit the thumbnail!!!!

This is a super tutorial on using the Astra theme. I've been doing HTML, CSS and JavaScript since the early to mid 90's and oddly enough, have never had a successful encounter with Wordpress. I just decided I was going to try once more about a week or so ago. We'll see, but I want to thank you for a very concise and thorough tutorial. In my mind, it makes sense!

I'm almost certainly going to install Elementor and Astra on my website and get rid of Divi. Divi is more for developers and not end-users. It's a powerful site builder but not user friendly. The tutorials are hard to follow and even developers go to third party sites for information. Dale @Create a Pro Website is a breath of fresh air. Clear instructions and without the arrogant "I know it all. Look how clever I am you plebs" attitude of some presenters on KZfaq. My only concern with Elementor/Astra is, as some of the comments on here claim, that there are bugs which make them unworkable. ( @FelixV, @Ocie Crawford, @Mark Minehan ) Hope I'm wrong and that these are just misunderstandings. Thanks again, Dale. I've subscribed.

This video was incredibly helpful!! I had tried watching a couple other elementor tutorials and the pacing was waaaaaay too fast. When I went to "edit with elementor" (around minute 1:09:40) I didn't see the "edit site footer" option you did. Is this because I don't have a pro version? In any case, for any with similar problems go to your website via wordpress then click "customize". On the left panel you'll see "header" and "footer" tabs that allow you to adjust the text of a template footer. Hope this helps.

Everything worked well only the site footer to edit was not available, kindly update the training with the new updated Astra options, please do a video from a blogging point of view, not website services. Good tutorial and easy to follow.

Thanks a million. I've been messing around for days trying to get started. You've saved me days of grief and hard work and I know for sure that I will end up with a fantastic website in a fraction of the time. There is only one thing that I didn't find in your video and that is how do I backup the site and then restore to an earlier version. I know for sure that I'm going to get so far and bust my site and want to revert to a previous version.

Thanks Dale - I found the tutorial comprehensive and very helpful. It enabled me to create a small website for my tennis club. I have one problem though and that is adding new pages. Adding the pages is simple but being able to layer an image behind the transparent header is beyond me. I've tried duplicating a page and making it a template - but that doesn't work. I've read up on the Z index and putting a minus in the position of the background image in the header - but can't see how to implement. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks Liz

From your great teaching skills through the video tutorial I have been able to build my own website but I struggle with 2 small points: 1 How to make a mobile responsive website? I have tried everything is not working on the same page some texts are good and some are not on the mobile responsive. 2 The footer is linked to the 3 widgets is not in order so what can I do to fix it? Hey there, we can definitely halp you fix those problems. First, you can edit the mobile, tablet, and desktop views completely separately so all three sizes look perfect. Here is another UPDATED tutorial where I show you exactly how to do this. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jLmEhMeKvbetfmw.html This link will start the video on the "Mobile Responsiveness" step so you can follow along. For the footer, you are editing your footer in Elementor so you can just click and drag the columns to rearrange the order of the widgets in the footer. The column is the grey dotted line box around the three areas where you can click on the widgets. Hover over the column you want to drag, and when the grey little square shows up, click on it and drag. Now you can drag the column over where you want it. Hope this helps.

Well you can set up a menu button on the header menu to a blog page and then on that blog page you could insert a "Post Grid" widget with Elementor and set it to latest blog posts. Or you could just put the post grid on your homepage as well. Once you insert the post grid, you can set the grid to pull from posts, comments, etc so just select posts. I hope this helps.

That's a very helpful video. I just get stuck after installing astra. it says it is active but when I click the Astra option button I don't have the pop up: "Thank you for installing Astra- Starter template". why is that?

I'm not sure how I should go about getting the Astra theme. when I visited the Astra link in the description box, I found I should pay $135 for the theme? or should I simply follow your instructions in the video and download it from the admin page? what is the difference, please?

Good job. I really enjoy your tutorials. I currently have one issue and asking for suggestions to fix. I created an image that includes our logo and site title. When I upload the logo there appears to be a white overlay (very bleached image). I have tried with the Astra and Hello theme but same issue. I have created a new page and it looks great, but then when I open it with Elementor the problem returns. I have tried to delete all plugins and added back elementor same issue. Suggestions?

I already have Astra Pro, but not Elementor. I installed the Elementor plugin, but still, I can't seem to use it with my Astra theme.
