I've been a hairstylist for 25 years and am also a Cosmetology instructor. I've decided that since we are quarantined, that I would learn to make wigs. I must tell you that this is THE BEST instructional video that I've seen so far, and I watched most of it with the sound muted and could still follow you step by step. This is like the BEST tutorial I’ve seen on this! Finally an organized stylist who uses a blueprint for laying the tracks! My brain thinks so organized that I hate guessing where I’m supposed to put the damn tracks because most you tubers edit out the most important part which is closing/ending the wig toward the top. THANKS GIRL!

Thank you so much! I came here from your beginner lace front wig tutorial! Most stylists start to sew the first track then skip to the end and go "just keep sewing until you get to the top" without actually SHOWING anyone how to get to the top while keeping the wig flat! No outline, no nothing!

I'm power watching wig making videos bc my youngest has alopecia and i don't want her to start school without hair :( With that being said your tutorials are AMAZING and how would you recommend attaching the wigs to her head? I would prefer the healthiest method for her scalp..looking for ANY advice bc this is waaaayyy out of my knowledge zone

Tiffany Powell just sew an elastic strap inside the wig . That will keep the wig on her head all day & she would be able to take it off at night to sleep. That is my preferred method because I don’t like sleeping with extra stuff on my head

I would look at the got 2 be glued tutorials on KZfaq. It's a gel and it will stick the wig on for the day and with water the gel can melt off at the end of the day. I'm just thinking that since she's a kiddo and might be running around playing with other kids the elastic band might not hold it securely enough ( like if her hair got pulled or something). I use a tiny amount of gel each day, usually no cap and I take my wigs off at night. Good luck!

@royalaesthetiks try a little bit of bold hold wig glue if ur nervous of her playing to hard, if u & her dont mind sleeping with it on for a few days.😊 good luck‼👏

Girlfriend, this video helped me step my wig making game up big time. Although I love to sew a wig on the machine, it had been a while and I wanted to try sewing my wig by hand again, but I always hated sewing by hand because all that work for the wig to be bulky or super big, however, that has all changed thanks to your video and method! I sat in front of my tv while I was ready to start on my wig and watched this and followed your instructions and this is the first wig that I have made where the wig came out not looking puffy, not bulky and most importantly I didn’t need combs or even glue to hold my wig on, it’s the perfect fit. I used the guidelines that you advised and it helped me tremendously. I even used my finger to properly determine how much to separate the tracks in between one another and the outcome was perfect. Thanks a million, there are a trillion videos on how to make a closure wig, but yours is the best of them all. Thanks dollface. You saved me. 😘😊🏆👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💃🏽💃🏽

I LOVEEE YOUR VIDEOS GIRL! I am aiming to start my wig making business, so this came in handy!! Also, I think when they asked about sewing through the band and it be being tight, they sewed all the way through it. Don't go all the way through that thick band, just go through that first stretchy layer!

Yup i use the wig cap that come in a prep made wig an its was so scrunched up when i was done😂im using my cap like this one this time an i was stitching wrong i went through the track the whole wig😩🥺🙌🏼 ima rewatch this in am to make my new 7x7 wig THANK YOU, its so hard to find a detailed up close video
