When I was in college I once made such a bird cage to keep quails. I used jute sticks instead of wood, paper sewing needles instead of drill machine, and coconut leaf's thorn instead of wire. After much effort a beautiful cage was built. Watching this video reminded me of the previous day. From Bangladesh 🇧🇩

Vor 40 Jahren hat mein Vater in Polen solche Käfige gebaut es gab Probleme früher kleine Bohrer zu kriegen da hat er sich welche aus Regenschirmdraht oder Fahrradspeichen Bohrer gemacht schön hat er den Käfig gemacht
