Well religions were very often derailed in real life, it actually makes sense :P Especially during political/social/economical upheaval. Btw worship Steigen, the Ultimate Sheep, Reborn Survivor.

@@marco0445 Things that wildly derailed religions were completely natural in origin. Political social and economic upheaval? Sure. Acts of god and supernatural miracles that would completely throw the entire religion for a curve and possibly completely invalidate its worldview didn't happen in real life, no. That said, I don't mind miracles, I just personally find the idea of miracles that have literally nothing to do with a certain religion's worldview and lore or that directly contradict them forcing the religion to adapt kind of unfun from an RP perspective because at that point it's the admin's RP and you're just playing along. If a war or a famine or an economic crisis changed the direction of things, at least the players are still at the steering wheel. I'm sure it doesn't happen in the server, but the mention of the idea of "supplanting your lore" in the vid made me at least nervous about the possibility if I ever tried.

@@CraftsmanOfAwsomenes Yeah ofc, I originally talked about the effects and never had the cause in mind but you are right. But just bc an admin does something doesnt mean you can't still control the narrative :) Its your religion and if something like that happened to you, you dont have to expand your religion, maybe your character was high on dried kelp or drunk from too much Vodka, you dont have to take everything literally. And the fun in seeing these miracles IS making sense of them from your religions perspective. Imean if the sun being blocked out soes not make any sense in your religion bc the sun god is the strongest, you make sense of it. If there is a complicated economic downturn, plague or something inexplicable people in history would make sense of it. And there are still to this day supernatural happenings that cant be explained, people come up with Aliens, the Bermuda Triangle and Lizard people. When I see an admin flying around and placing/removing blocks I always interpret that in the confines of my religion. If an admin talks about me about a griefer who was just near me and it doesnt fit into my religion I just wont mention it, simple as that :) For me its about the effects of the world on my character not the literal and laugical cause. But ofc you can rp however you like. Except being a Ratist. Fuck Ratism.

@@marco0445 The bermuda triangle is definitely explainable, but I see your point. With a religious point of view you can twist anything into fitting the narrative and downplay the things that don't. The suppression and cope is part of the RP.

@@CraftsmanOfAwsomenes Yes exactly :) I also gree that the Bermuda triangle is just a myth, but it is interesting to see hoe we humans came up with it (bias etc) I think the youtuber LEMMINO has a very good video on this subject and I used this to actually craft an own myth in my world (though being fantasy it even mitght be real :P)
