Impressive machine, my friend! Certainly better than hobbyist machines that a person can purchase on e-bay (they can't cut threads and worm gears) 15:49 you should definitely try some time make not a flat drawing, but some kind of pattern/gear profile, cut out of pvc for example. Just make the cross-slide carriage move freely into the part (without a cross slide feed screw) the pattern will stop it at the right depth. (Kinda hard to describe, but it's simple, and I think it would make your wonderful machine perform even better, search: using pattern tracer on my wood lathe)
