pretty much everything is in 4/4 time. this video's beat is in 4/4. generally it's based upon genre or the melody itself. some grunge songs are in 7/4 or other strange time signatures just because of the rhythm of the riff. a good rule of thumb is to just use 4/4 when making rap or pop though.

99% of the time ull be in 4/4 but for more musical stuff sometimes 3/4 is more fitting... it all depends on the genre and whats common, some genres commonly use 3/4 so u would just have to do some research and bpm doesnt matter
