I think it's such a lovely, selfless thing you are doing here, showing everybody how u do the beautiful stuff you do, especially when you actually sell it yourself.. I myself just came across this kinda accidently & have no intention, nor probably knowledge/equipment to do it. But it is very interesting & stunning. So thanks for sharing :)

02:07 Wow, how many times have a thought "when I mix my resin it's going to look cool like that" when I see a cool resin color transition. All the time. And when I visualize me mixing it's with a popsicle stick. You just saved me time and $$ not having to figure that out after 3-5 unsuccessful tries and still in the back of my mind thinking... I need to mix with straws or something lol. Thanks buddy!

I don't have any grape vine or dry enough wood burles but I have a bunch of Y'S from small branches.. beach and white birch to be exact.. I had the idea before I stabilize them for casting to let some of the peices soak in blue dye.. Would it be easier to dye the birch vs the beach? My idea is to dye half my pieces, leave the other half natural and use red alumilite... merica!
@CaseyMartin707
@CaseyMartin707 5 жыл бұрын
Sounds like an awesome plan brother! Honestly I have no idea. Whichever seems to be denser, and have really tight grain, is probably the one that would be harder to soak dye into. But that just means you can let it soak for longer. Good luck man!

Absolutely necessary for Alumilite. Not necessary for some epoxy resins like Liquid Diamonds for example. But most casting epoxies don’t cure as hard as polyurethanes. That being said it still works great for a lot of purposes
