What a neat project! I carry a little emergency med kit with me everywhere. That would make a neat one. Just the basics. Some bandaids, tylonol, things like that.

just something funny for you. I have a friend who(, when we were younger ) had an old black cast iron Singer sewing machine. she called me up saying that the thread on the bottom was all bunched up. I told her the tension needed to be adjusted. I said dont do anything I'd be right over. A half hour later I got to her house and said where'd the machine? Her boyfriend smiled and pointed to the window. I looked out the second floor window and saw the machine all in pieces on the ground. I asked her why did she throw it out the window. She said that it ticked her off ( she said a word that starts with a P) I had to laugh, we all say we're gonna do it but we never do

What a pretty and very practical craft. I've carried a little sewing kit in my purse since I was a teenager (in the early 70s). My grandmother gave me a well-stocked, hand-sewn kit for my 'Hope Chest' when I turned 13. I just put it in my purse instead. Thanks, Kandye. I am definitely going to make 'Housewife Kits' for Christmas stocking stuffers this year!
