Here’s how to make a thick and creamy acai bowl at home! It tastes like a bowl from a smoothie shop and is packed with antioxidants.
INGREDIENTS:
▸ 2 unsweetened acai packets
▸ 1 frozen banana, in chunks
▸ ¼ cup non-dairy milk, (almond or oat)
▸ ½ cup frozen mixed berries
▸ 1 Tablespoon peanut butter (or nut butter of choice)
▸ 1 scoop vanilla or chocolate protein powder (optional)
▸ toppings of choice: more nut butter, granola, berries, banana slices, etc.

I pronounce it wrong purposely to annoy people. Also I pronounce quinoa "kwee-oh-nah". If anyone corrects me I'll tell them they're wrong lol.

Here in brazil we normally don't put the açai to the blender, we just put it in a bowl and top it with fruits, sweet sauces, and pieces of chocolate etc... And on the north, northeast regions its sometimes served along with dinner or lunch.

So, for who don't know why the pronunciation is not, A-KAI, it's because açai bowl is originally from Brazil, also the fruit. So, the right way to write is Açai, with the Ç, (c cedilla) is a latin script letter used in romance languages like Portuguese, French, Friulian and sounds like S. The brazilian state Pará, is the largest producer of the fruit, responsible for more than 90% of the world's production.

Acai berries are a dark purple fruit found in the Amazon. They are packed with antioxidants, low in sugar and have a decent amount of fat. You’ll typically find acai that has been processed into a pulp at the grocery store. It’s typically in the freezer aisle, but you can also buy acai powder, which is usually in the supplement section. I recommend the frozen acai for making acai bowls.
