For the past few days, I have been looking at nothing but Detolf shelves and Puck Light options, because I finally wanted to add some gorgeous displays to my room, and this further reinforced that notion. I have the same display cases as you for my Papo/schleich/CollectA/Rebor/Beasts Of The Mesozoic dinosaur and prehistoric animal figures.

It looks like you were having the same problem assembling your Detolf that I had-- getting that 3rd glass pane in. We struggled to get it to fit into the slot at the bottom for 5 minutes before we realized that the plastic corner pieces could actually be put on backwards, which was what we had accidentally done. After the whole thing was put together, it was super worth it, though.

Yes, they can, and I saw that in the manual and that's what I like about Ikea's manuals - very good at using icons and imagery to get around language. We still had issues getting them to fit snuggly while sliding into the wood at the same time.

One for each. Once you cut it, the rest of the lights are garbage.

Those would be the sticky things you use to adhere command hooks! Those buttons you're talking about come with the lights.

Impossible to find a Detolf in 2021 for a reasonable price (unless you have an Ikea nearby and can pick it up). Ikea charging $99 shipping and other retailers like Walmart, Ebay, and Amazon are all charging $250+ for a detolf. Insanity!

Make a day trip out of it. Whenever my wife and I go, we get there around 10, spend three or so hours there, find another place after, get dinner, and then get home around 10-11 at night. And yes, ~2 hour drive for me.

Huge piece of advice. Don't do what I did and leave your LEDs on 24/7. LEDs will bleach and washout the colors of your boxes (if you're a Funko pop or in box ML collector)
