the walking foot is good for quilting what you do your foot is ok i have been sewing for ever i started with hand embroidery the rest is her story you know even though i have the scouring board i still fold and bend like that it is more accurate it make the pages for my mini albums and journals better and when i make cards this is the best way for a good line up . yes i hate the news it is depressing . IT's is not old age we just have so much on our mind if we have not done it in a couple of weeks we forget, drink tea and smile and flow is good !!! LOL A LOT !!!!! TODAY IS A FUN DAY WITH MISS PAM THE DOG AND THE BIRD !!!! Lois

Wanted to offer a tip for those trying this. When you score the middle with the ruler and the bone folder, do it backwards, on the outside of the folio. It will make it easier to fold as you are breaking the fibers in the direction you want it to fold.

Thank you so much for all your ideas. I am new to creating with paper. I am a quilter, so I really enjoyed combining the paper with material. This is my first creation and I had a blast making it. I used the instant coffee as an edging along with the ink. Worked great!! My table looked like yours, and spilling over, by the time I was through. So, I think I did something right!! Yes a walking foot is great for bulky items. Very easy to use. Thanks again, your are very inspiring and I can't wait to make more.

Walking feet are usually used for thicker fabrics like leather, suede, etc....a rolling foot works great too!

I found old flash cards, a few types of stationary, tiny envelopes, old playing cards, a very old bingo set, music paper and on and on. I hit the mother load! somewhat easier: put your two 10x10 (or similar sized squares of any size) good side to good side. sew around 3 sides. turn inside out. insert appropriate sized chipboard. fold in open edge, sew all around. of course, this uses much less glue which Pam is trying to use up. YMMV

Pam i have a scrap bag that is so large don't ask how many years i have been sewing and designing now i am going shopping in my scrap bag the large garbage bag and the big plastic tub Love the purple and the pink no it is not sally it is lois but i love the liquid glue for sticking down rhinestone . trimming etc. i never use the stick glue . the on ei use comes in a squeezy tube you have cupcake fabric???? yes pam you know how to have fun with your stash and stuff you are fun to hang out with iam laughing so hard Thank you my dear

Pam it's such a great start to the day to watch you. Love this project! I had to laugh at the hot flash comment! I'ce been dealing with hot flashes for the last 10 years. it drives me crazy! Another thing is running out of bobbin thread! The wonkiness on the bottom stitch maybe from needing to rethread your top and bottom stitch, another thing to drive you crazy! I use a piece of thick felt in the middle for stability but it still has the soft snuggly affect. They sell the super thick felt piece at joann fabrics but they sell a stiffened piece that creases in a bad way. So I get the soft white piece and it’s huge so one piece would make 2 journals. It’s Kunin brand PREMIUM not stiffened.

Is that a Kiddles doll you have on your craft table?? I am so jealous! I used to collect those when I was MUCH younger. Great project as I have lots of fabric to work with. Happy crafting!
